Holistic Healing Modalities
At the heart of the NSAJ Retreat is our commitment to holistic wellness, offering a range of therapeutic practices designed to support the unique needs of female combat veterans. Participants engage in equine therapy, art and music therapy, breathwork, and resonance repatterning, which help address trauma, anxiety, and emotional well-being. These modalities are provided in a serene setting, allowing women to reconnect with themselves and gain tools for ongoing mental health support.
Feminine Self Care
Understanding the importance of self-care, our retreat provides educational sessions on skincare, nutrition, and daily wellness routines. We empower participants to embrace feminine self-care as a vital part of their healing journey, encouraging self-respect and confidence through simple, actionable routines that they can incorporate into everyday life.

Community Building
The NSAJ Retreat fosters a strong, supportive community of fellow female veterans who understand each other’s unique experiences. Through activities designed to build camaraderie, women form bonds that extend beyond the retreat. Practical sessions, such as resume updates, professional headshots, communication exercises, and translating military skills to civilian terms, equip participants to thrive in civilian life. These activities help build the confidence and connections needed to succeed in personal and professional pursuits.
Sustainment Program: Support Beyond the Retreat
Our commitment to each veteran doesn’t end when the retreat concludes. Through the NSAJ Sustainment Program, we actively gather feedback and listen to each participant’s unique needs to develop a personalized support package for their continued growth and healing at home. This sustainment package may include:
- Personalized Practitioner Recommendations – Based on the therapies that proved positively impactful during the retreat, we provide tailored referrals to trusted healing practitioners in each veteran’s home area.
- Dedicated Points of Contact – Veterans receive a list of resources and contacts for ongoing assistance, ensuring they have access to guidance, support, and emergency help if needed.
- Post-Retreat Follow-Ups – Our team conducts regular check-ins with each veteran to understand their progress, address challenges, and offer additional resources, helping ensure they thrive in both their personal and professional lives.
The NSAJ Sustainment Program is designed to provide a continued sense of connection and empowerment, so each veteran feels fully supported on their journey long after they leave the retreat.
